  • Remote Assistance is a way in which our Support Team here at MPi Products can provide remote support over the Internet. We can take control of your PC and trouble shoot right before your very eyes... as if one of our friendly Support Team Members was actually with you! Well... we are... virtually! And this means that you can be located anywhere in Australia or infact the world.

    No. Because our computers are 'listening' for support connections all the time, our support team will be notified of your remote assistance request. A Support Member will then initiate a chat window for communications with you.

    Yes. Because you initiate the connection, you have all the power. You can disconnect an active Remote session at any time you like. Beacuse the program is loaded into memory, once the session is closed, there is nothing left to tidy up. Rest assured that no one can enter you computer once the session has closed.

    The program we are using is called UltraVNC. Is is freeware and more information can be found at http://www.ultravnc.com. The site is a little hard to navigate, so be patient. The site will allow you to create your very own Support program, customised as you require. It is called 'Single Click' or UltraVNC SC. *NOTE: This is not our product nor will we supply any support to get this system running for you. It is all freeware, instructions are there... Good luck!

    2. A window like the one below will appear. Choose 'Run' by left clicking on the button (not on the picture here!).

    3. A further Publisher Security Warning will come up. This file is 100% safe, so you can select 'Run' again. (This may not come up, it depends on your security settings)

    4. The MPi Remote Support window will now open. You can select one of our Support Team members by 'double left-clicking' on either Alpha, Gamma or Epsilon.

    5. Once a Support Member has been clicked, a connection request will be sent to their computer. *NOTE: If you are using a firewall program, please allow the connection as we will not get the support request otherwise. All going well, you should see a balloon like the following down in your system tray. Please wait for a response from our Team.
